Getting Here – Our Location

Our practice is located 1km east of the Don Valley Parkway at the corner of Lawrence Ave East and Curlew Avenue. The practice is on the second floor, above Anders Physiotherapy at the Don East Centre – 1200 Lawrence Ave E. If you have any difficulty finding our practice, please call us and we’ll help you with directions.

Our Practice – Waiting Room and Amenities

When you arrive at our practice, you’ll be greeted by our friendly receptionist and asked to fill out a new patient and medical questionnaire. Upon completion you’ll be asked to have a seat in our waiting room until one of our dentists is ready to see you.

Our home-like and welcoming waiting area is always stocked with current magazines, and there is a water cooler for your refreshment. We encourage you to relax in one of our comfortable chairs while listening to soft radio music. Our dentists believe your time is just as valuable as their own, so they rarely fall behind schedule causing you to wait too long.

For the kids, there are entertaining books and toys to help pass the time. In an effort to reward good dental habits and establish a trusting relationship with our staff, kids can choose a toy from our toy box after each visit with the dentist. We also have a large bulletin board of photos of our younger patients showing off their pearly white teeth!

Please don’t hesitate to let us know if there is anything we can do to make you more comfortable during your visit.

Meeting With the Dentist

When the dentist is ready to see you, you will be lead to one of three operatories from which we treat our patients. There are windows in each of our treatment rooms, offering natural light and fresh air.

Once your are seated in the treatment chair, Dr. Chen or Dr. Mittlemann will greet you and ask you some questions to better understand your expectations and concerns.

New Patient Examination & Cleaning

Once you have had the chance to chat with the dentist and discuss any concerns, a thorough examination of your teeth and the health of your entire mouth will begin. Our dentist will first thoroughly inspect your teeth and gums for cavities or signs of gum disease. If needed, he’ll recommend x-rays to determine whether tooth roots, fillings, and the structure of the jawbone are in good health.

Finally, your teeth and gums will be professionally cleaned, and you’ll be reappointed for further treatment.
